I am pretty disciplined painting in themes, but sometimes a composition gets stuck in my head & I have to paint it get it out, before moving on.
The trees in question at the Pennask Summit on the Okanagan Connector. I love the ambiguous palette in this one, together with the textural contrast between the snow & trees.
