Scottish, mainly
Opening October 26, 6pm
This exhibit showcases a number of paintings depicting aspects of architecture and landscape from Scotland, reflecting the artist’s abiding interest in natural and built histories. Subjects are drawn from the medieval Old Town in Edinburgh, and depict the complex tenements, crow-step gables and Closes common in Scottish vernacular architecture. These are brought together with paintings depicting impressions from the Shetland Islands, to the north of the Scottish Mainland, inspired by a 2014 art residence at the Booth in Scalloway.
The exhibition is curated by Amitai Heyl and has been scheduled alongside the Smoking Gun Collective production of “the Browning Version” written by Terence Rattigan & directed by William B. Davis
Exhibition runs October 26, 2026 - November 16, 2026
